Samantha reacts to ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’s Rs 100 Cr

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is on cloud nine as her latest release ‘Maa Inti Bangaram,’ directed by Nandini Reddy and created by Raj Nidimoru has entered the Rs 100 crore club. Samantha shared the happy news on social media with a special poster and a sweet video.

In the video shared on Instagram Raj Nidimoru asks her, “Do you want to see something cool?” Samantha says yes. Raj then gives her an iPad. She unlocks it and sees the worldwide box office collection. Samantha with her baby bump is surprised and smiles with joy. She says, “We did 100 crores.” The moment showed how happy and emotional she was after seeing the film’s success.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu opens up about her fears

Along with the video, Samantha spoke about the worries she had before the film was released. She said, “Before the release of Maa Inti Bangaram, I remember obsessing over one thing: were people even talking about the film? Were the assets we were putting out reaching people? Did they know this film existed?”She also shared a story about a film exhibitor. She said the exhibitor was asked about the movie before its release. The exhibitor replied, “Why would anyone watch a heroine film? If she’s in a big hero’s film, fine. People know her for the glamour. But a film led by a heroine? Who will come? Nobody.” Samantha said she hopes this success will bring change to the film industry. She wrote, “I think real change only happens when someone is willing to take a risk.” She added, “I hope that the next time someone calls an exhibitor in a B or C centre and asks about a female-led film, the answer isn’t an instant no. Maybe it’s, ‘Let’s see.’”

About ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’

Speaking about the film, it marked the reunion between Samantha Ruth Prabhu and director Nandini Reddy. It also includes Gulshan Devaiah, Sreemukhi and Diganth Manchale in important roles.Released on June 19, in less than one month, ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ earned Rs 100 crore worldwide. The film has now become the first solo women-led Telugu film to reach this mark.Interestingly, the film has recovered more than 300 percent of its budget.On a personal note, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Raj Nidimoru are expecting their first child together.
