Sahher Bambba on Aryan Khan: “He really smiles a lot”

Sahher Bambba on Aryan Khan: “He really smiles a lot” - Exclusive

Aryan Khan, often perceived as serious, is actually witty, cheerful, and mischievous, says actress Sahher Bambba. She recalls his constant laughter, humor, and charm on the sets of The Ba**ds of Bollywood*. Praising his childlike playfulness alongside his directorial discipline, she revealed Aryan kept the shocking sibling-twist climax hidden from the cast until the last moment.

In the world of entertainment where every move of star kids are magnified,Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has always been sort of an anomaly. He recently made his debut as a director with The Ba***ds of Bollywood and his actors from Bobby Deol to Raghav Juyal have called him extremely soft spoken, full of manners and etiquettes. But he is seldom seen flashing a wide grin or laughing in front of the camera by the paparazzi. He has often been tagged as “serious” and “brooding” . But according to actress Sahher Bambba who played the role of Karishma Talvar in the show shares that the perception is far from reality. When asked about why Aryan Khan doesn’t smile much in photographs or during public appearances in an exclusive interview with ETimes, Sahher was quick to set the record straight. “Aaryan is always smiling and always laughing and always making the other person laugh. I think he’s the funniest person in any room. He’s so funny, so witty. And he has such beautiful teeth also. I remember telling him, I said, ‘dude, you have such a beautiful set of teeth’.In fact he really smiles a lot. Also he has this really childlike mischievousness in him. So even on set, he would oscillate between being this filmmaker and ‘okay, guys, we have to get the shot right’ to suddenly being this child on set who’s like wanting to be mischievous and like to crack silly jokes. So I think he had that amazing blend, but he really smiles a lot, quite a bit, in fact.”With the show performing so well on OTT platform, rumours have already begun for the second part of the show. In fact Sahher was also in the news for the climax of the show where it was revealed that her character and the character of Aasman Singh played by Lakshya are half-siblings. She revealed that nobody from the cast knew about it till the last minute. She said, “ Aryan very consciously kept us away from it because he didn’t want us to know the climax and then romance each other. Half an hour before is when everybody was told what the climax was and all, our jaws were on the floor.”
