Thalapathy Vijay was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on May 10 at the Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai. This event saw the presence of over 5,000 guests, which included leaders of different political parties and film celebrities. The event became one of the most talked-about moments in Tamil Nadu politics, as Vijay completed his remarkable journey from cinema superstar to Chief Minister.

S. A. Chandrasekhar shares an emotional reaction about Vijay

One of the most emotional moments during the ceremony came from Vijay’s father and veteran director S. A. Chandrasekhar. Speaking about his son’s achievement, Chandrasekhar said that Vijay had fulfilled his biggest dream. As reported by Nakkheeran, he emotionally shared that not every father gets the opportunity to witness such a proud moment in life. According to him, Vijay had already reached the top position in cinema, but still chose to leave that success behind to work for the people. He proudly said that seeing his son become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu was the happiest moment of his life.

Vijay’s political struggles moved his father to tears

S.A. Chandrasekhar also spoke openly about the struggles Vijay faced after entering politics. In his view, Vijay had several hurdles to overcome. There was skepticism about whether someone from the film industry would be able to make it in the political arena, but Vijay persevered. Chandrasekhar said watching his son finally take the oath as Chief Minister made him emotional and brought tears to his eyes. His heartfelt words quickly went viral online, with many fans sharing the emotional father-son moment on social media.

Fans celebrate the proud father-son moment

Vijay’s mother, Shoba Chandrasekhar, was also present at the ceremony and was visibly emotional during the oath-taking event. Fans online praised S.A. Chandrasekhar for standing strongly beside Vijay throughout his cinematic and political journey. Many supporters said the director’s emotional reaction reflected the feelings of millions of Vijay’s fans across Tamil Nadu.
