Amid ongoing discussions and controversies surrounding the film, Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer ‘Peddi’ continues to perform strongly at the box office. The film has maintained momentum during its opening weekend.

Peddi crosses major box office milestone

According to trade figures shared by Sacnilk, ‘Peddi’ crossed the Rs 100 crore India net mark within just three days of release. The film collected Rs 28.85 crore net on Day 3. This marked a 7.2 percent rise compared to its Day 2 earnings of Rs 26.90 crore.The Day 3 collection came from 9,019 shows across languages. Following the latest update, the film’s total India net collection now stands at Rs 125.25 crore. Its India gross collection has reached Rs 149.07 crore.

Overseas numbers continue to grow

‘Peddi’ collected Rs 8 crore from overseas markets on Day 3. This pushed the overseas gross collection to Rs 42 crore. The worldwide numbers also moved closer to another milestone. Peddi has now reached a total worldwide gross collection of Rs 191.07 crore.The Telugu version remained the biggest contributor to overall earnings. It collected Rs 25.60 crore on the third day. The Hindi version earned Rs 2.80 crore, while Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam versions contributed smaller shares.

Occupancy rises through the day

Audience response also improved as the day progressed. The Telugu version recorded an overall occupancy of 56.40 percent. Night shows recorded the highest turnout with 68.31 percent occupancy.The trend suggested stronger footfalls during later screenings and contributed to the film’s Day 3 rise.

Alleged chats create fresh discussions

While the film continues its theatrical run, discussions around Janhvi Kapoor’s character Achiyyamma have remained active online. New conversations emerged after alleged private chats shared by fan pages began circulating on social media platforms.As reported by India Today, the screenshots, which remain unverified, appeared to suggest that Janhvi had raised concerns about certain camera angles during filming.One message allegedly written by the actor read: “I told him no b**b and waist shots (sic).” Another message also claimed that Ram Charan supported her concerns. “And Ram sir is so sweet. He also yelled at him and said, ‘You will not take such angles of her ever again.’ So he got upset (sic),”

Director addresses audience criticism
