Ozzy Oborne's final words ‘Kiss me. Hug me tight…’ to Sharon Osbourne leaves her devastated

Sharon Osbourne opens up about the heartbreaking final moments of Ozzy, recalling his last tender request: ‘Kiss me. Hug me tight.’ Despite his declining health, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman was determined to hit the gym one last time, only to collapse shortly thereafter. Medics worked desperately to revive him, but Sharon recognized the quiet finality in his eyes.

Sharon Osbourne has opened up for the first time about the moment her husband Ozzy Osbourne died, revealing that his final words to her were, “Kiss me. Hug me tight,” before the Black Sabbath icon suffered a fatal heart attack at their Buckinghamshire home on July 22.

Sharon remembers his final morning

In a new interview with Piers Morgan on his program ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored,’ previewed in Britain by tabloid newspaper The Sun, Sharon, 73, described the early morning they lost him. She recalled that Ozzy had been restless and “up and down all night in the bathroom” before waking her around 4:30 a.m., telling her “wake up.” When she replied that he had already disturbed her, he gently asked, “Kiss me. Hug me tight.”Despite serious health problems, including pneumonia, sepsis and Parkinson’s disease, Ozzy insisted on heading to their home gym for an early workout. Within 20 minutes, Sharon heard shouting and ran downstairs to find medics fighting to revive him near the cross-trainer he loved to use for up to 90 minutes a day. “He had a heart attack. I ran downstairs, and there he was, and they were trying to resuscitate him, and I’m like, ‘Don’t, just leave him. Leave him. You can’t. He’s gone’,” she recalled. “I knew instantly he’d gone.”Paramedics airlifted Ozzy to hospital, where doctors tried repeatedly to save him, but Sharon says she kept telling them, “He’s gone. Just leave him.”

Family faces first milestones without him

Sharon revealed that Ozzy had been warned by a doctor that if he went ahead with his planned final Black Sabbath concert in Birmingham, “he wouldn’t get through it,” but he insisted on performing one last time for fans. Weeks later, he died at 76 after years of declining health, including a serious fall in 2019.Marking what would have been his 77th birthday, Sharon posted previously unseen photos on Instagram, writing, “My darling husband, I celebrate the day you were born. I will never let go of your hand until I see you on the other side.” She also shared a video of a floral tribute on Birmingham’s Black Sabbath Bridge that read “Happy Birthday Ozzy,” accompanied by his song ‘See You On The Other Side.’ Their daughter Kelly added her own emotional messages: “Happy birthday I miss you daddy! I love you more than life itself!” and told him, “you most certainly did not die an ordinary man! Life without you is hard but not a day goes by that I don’t dedicate my life to loving you and your legacy!”The family’s grief and Ozzy’s final years will be explored further in upcoming BBC One documentary ‘Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home,’ which follows his return to the United Kingdom and the painful, devoted care Sharon gave him through his last chapter.
