Kalyani Priyadarshan’s fantasy epic ‘Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra’ has emerged as one of the year’s biggest Malayalam hits. Even as Pawan Kalyan’s high-octane ‘They Call Him OG’ has stormed the box office, ‘Lokah’ seems to be charting its own path without losing momentum.

Thirty days, still holding ground

According to the Sacnilk website reports, ‘Lokah’ earned Rs 85 lakh on its 30th day (September 26), taking its overall India net collection to an impressive Rs 142.90 crore. The film’s Week 4 earnings stand at ₹13.25 crore. This shows a 51% dip from the previous week but still strong for a movie running in its fifth weekend.

Malayalam audiences drive ‘Lokah’ success

On its 30th day, ‘Lokah’ recorded a respectable 19.59% overall Malayalam occupancy. While morning shows saw a modest 9.15% turnout, the numbers rose steadily through the day, with night shows touching 34.11%.

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra – Official Trailer

‘OG’ storm creates no issues for ‘Lokah’ in KeralaInterestingly, Pawan Kalyan’s ‘OG’ which has already crossed Rs 100 crore in just two days doesn’t appear to have affected Lokah’s Kerala box office collections. Also in Kerala, Pawan Kalyan’s fan base is comparatively low. ‘Lokah’ continues to attract audiences to the cinemas and all thanks to its stunning direction storyline and also Kalyani Priyadarshan’s magnificent performance as Chandra aka Neeli. Directed by Dominic Arun,’Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra’ stars Kalyani Priyadarshan, Naslen K. Gafoor, Sandy Master, Arun Kurian, and Vijayaraghavan in pivotal roles. With good reviews and also the OTT release date not yet announced, Dulquer Salmaan’s production venture is expected to have a great run in cinemas in the upcoming days.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
