In a recent social media post, the star opened up about the rise of ads on online platforms using her face. She also warned her fans and netizens alike to stay away from such prompts.

In a recent social media post, the famed South Korean actress revealed harrowing details about how scammers have been running ads with her face on them. She revealed that she recently came across many posts of such a nature, which used AI technology to morph her face onto other people to promote advertisements she has never been affiliated with.Her post read, “I’ve been receiving a lot of direct messages about them recently.” Stating that none of these so-called endorsements were legit, she attached a lot of screenshots in her post to ensure that everyone stays informed about the matter. She also added a warning for people who come across such content, and urged them to report it and not fall for the scam that has been circulating.Further ahead in her post, she also mentioned that, “Please do not click the links or purchase anything through them. Be careful. They’re written in Korean, but if you look closely, something feels off. I honestly don’t know who made these, but they’re really awful.” The ads include a large and diverse variety of products, ranging from people selling sweet potatoes to inner garments.Over the past couple of months, many people have reported that photos of celebrities and other known figures are being used illegally and without permission through the use of artificial intelligence technology.Many fans and netizens alike have also actively started debates surrounding this matter, stating that AI has become a huge problem in the world of K-pop. Over the years, many AI-generated K-pop groups have also been peaking, which has also caused a lot of concern online.
