Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’ continued its impressive second-weekend run by posting another healthy jump at the box office.The action drama witnessed a great rise in collections on its second Sunday after a strong Saturday.According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 10.70 crore India net on Day 11. The latest figure marks a 37.2% increase over the Rs 7.80 crore earned on Day 10. The steady growth has helped the film move closer to the Rs 300-crore mark at the worldwide box office.

Worldwide collection inches closer to 300 crore

The latest earnings have pushed the film’s India net collection to Rs 175.60 crore. Its India gross collection now stands at Rs 204.92 crore.Overseas markets also continued to contribute to the film’s overall performance. The movie earned Rs 3 crore overseas on Day 11, taking its international gross to Rs 91 crore.’Jana Nayagan’ has now collected Rs 295.92 crore worldwide.The film was screened in 4,321 shows across India on its 11th day. The Tamil version collected Rs 9.75 crore. The Hindi version added Rs 85 lakhs, while the Telugu version earned Rs 10 lakhs.TN generated Rs 10 crore in gross collections on Sunday. Karnataka contributed Rs 75 lakhs, while Kerala added Rs 50 lakhs. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together collected Rs 15 lakhs. The rest of India contributed another Rs 1 crore, taking the total India gross for Day 11 to Rs 12.40 crore.

Occupancy remains strong across the day

The Tamil version registered an overall occupancy of 61.38% on Sunday. Morning shows recorded 47.31% occupancy before climbing sharply during the afternoon to 73.92%. The evening shows witnessed the highest turnout at 75.46%, while night occupancy settled at 48.85%.The Hindi version posted an overall occupancy of 26.34%. Morning occupancy stood at 11.45%. It improved to 26.91% during the afternoon and further increased to 29.91% in the evening. The night shows recorded 26.18% occupancy.

Cast, story and week-wise performance

After collecting Rs 153.55 crore during its opening week, the film earned Rs 4.05 crore on its second Thursday. It followed that with Rs 7.80 crore on the second Saturday before jumping to Rs 10.70 crore on Day 11.Jana Nayagan stars C. Joseph Vijay, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju in key roles.
