Kunickaa Sadanand fought for her son’s custody nine years

Sadanand said, “Children get badly affected when parents break up, but what can one do if the kids see violence at home, and then don’t separate that’s bad too. I got divorced at the age of 19-20, and after that, I didn’t get married. I fought for my child’s custody for nine years. My ex-husband was very rich, so I used to earn in Mumbai, shoot for 10 days, and then I would run to the Delhi court, nine years passed in all of this.”

Kunickaa Sadanand’s son asked her to stop the fight

Kunickaa revealed how the long legal battle affected her son. “One day, my son told me, ‘Please, one of you give up because my studies are getting severely affected’. 16th July 1991, I still remember coming out of the court and saying I will not fight anymore. I told my lawyers that I won’t come to the court anymore and asked them to close the case.”

Kunickaa Sadanand’s relationship with her son

Talking about how she reconnected with her son, “When my son turned 18, he started understanding things… earlier, his father used to poison him about me, when I would call him, they would not allow me to speak to him, but as he grew up, he realized. Now, when I go to Delhi, I live with him.” Go to Source
