'Sarvam Maya' box office collections day 9: Nivin Pauly film shows big jump; Rs 40 crore mark reached

Nivin Pauly’s horror comedy, ‘Sarvam Maya,’ is a box office hit, crossing Rs 40 crore in its first nine days. The film shows steady growth with healthy theatre occupancy, particularly in evening and night shows. Directed by Akhil Sathyan, it marks a strong comeback for Pauly after a string of unsuccessful films.

Day-wise numbers show steady growth

On Day 8 the film earned Rs 5.2 crore with an occupancy of 48.57 percent. The total collection for Week 1 stood at Rs 35.1 crore. On Day 9 the film earned Rs 4.90 crore as per early estimates by the Sacnilk website. This took the total to Rs 40 crore.

Occupancy remains healthy across shows

Afternoon shows saw 49.81 percent. Evening shows improved further with 60.59 percent. Night shows were the best with 64.66 percent occupancy.

Cast, crew, and review response

‘Sarvam Maya’ is directed by Akhil Sathyan. The film stars Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese, Preity Mukhundhan, and Janardhanan in important roles.ETimes review for the film reads, “What adds an extra emotional layer is how Vineeth and Methil Devika carry their brief appearance towards the end. The emotions they evoke through a simple reaction are deeply shattering, followed by the brother’s response, which lands with equal impact. The dialogues are mostly effective, though a few moments falter—possibly due to delivery. Akhil has Gen Z lingo firmly in his grasp. There are also endless cameos and numerous characters scattered throughout—some working well, others not so much.”‘Sarvam Maya’ can be said as a good comeback for Nivin Pauly after a series of flops.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
