Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Prasad Yadav is set to travel to New Delhi on Saturday for further medical evaluation and treatment at AIIMS after experiencing fluctuations in his blood pressure. Earlier, he was admitted to Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) in Patna following health concerns, where doctors conducted a detailed examination before discharging him after his condition stabilized. According to his eldest daughter and RJD MP Misa Bharti, Lalu Prasad Yadav is currently stable and under medical observation. She stated that doctors have advised continued monitoring at home before he proceeds to Delhi, where he regularly receives specialized treatment at AIIMS. Besides blood pressure fluctuations, the veteran politician has also reported discomfort related to his eyes, prompting doctors to recommend further evaluation. The 78-year-old leader has been dealing with multiple health challenges over the past several years. He underwent a kidney transplant in Singapore, and since then has remained under continuous medical supervision for various age-related complications. His scheduled visit to AIIMS is part of his ongoing treatment plan and precautionary medical care. Supporters and party workers have expressed concern over his health, while family members have assured that there is no immediate cause for alarm. Medical experts attending to him have advised rest and close observation before his transfer to Delhi. His health remains under regular review, and further updates are expected after doctors at AIIMS conduct a comprehensive assessment. The development has drawn widespread attention given Lalu Prasad Yadav’s significant role in national and Bihar politics.
