Konkona talks about working women: ‘Nobody has it perfectly…’

Konkona Sensharma reveals why working women will relate to her character of ACP in 'Search: The Naina Murder Case', saying, 'Nobody has it perfectly figured out…'

Konkona Sensharma is all set to play the role of ACP Sanyukta Das in the upcoming series titled Search: The Naina Murder Case. Talking about the role, the actress shared that she felt connected with the character, which also depicts the lives of working women. Here’s what she shared in a recent interview.

Konkona Sensharma draws a parallel between her character and working women

While talking about the character to News18, Konkona Sensharma shared that it reflects the experiences of many working women. She said, “I think for working women, they’ll really see that they’re not alone.”The actress added, “This is something that happens to a lot of working women.” Konkona stated that it doesn’t matter if she is working outside the house or as a homemaker. She acknowledged that even managing work at home is not easy.She expressed, “But when you’re working outside, especially in a demanding job like an ACP, it’s a very tough balance to achieve.”Drawing parallels between her character and real-life working women, Konkona said that even Sanyukta Das will be seen struggling to manage things perfectly in the show.The actress further stated, “I think working women will relate to these struggles and see that nobody has it perfectly figured out. Sometimes we fail, sometimes we succeed; it’s a balance we’re constantly striving for.”Konkona added that all these elements make the show relatable for every working woman. She concluded, saying she hopes the show will take some pressure off them “so they’ll feel seen, understood, and less alone.”

Directed by Rohan Sippy, the show is scheduled to premiere on the OTT platform on October 10, 2025. Apart from Konkona Sensharma, it will also star Surya Sharma, Shiv Pandit, Varun Thakur, Dhruv Sehgal, and Shraddha Das.
