'King' movie: LEAKED pics from Shah Rukh Khan's shoot sparks buzz; Fans draw comparisons to mafia drama 'Godfather'

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is working hard on his next film ‘King’ and by the looks of it, the internet is working harder at keeping fans up to date about all that is going on around the sets. A new set of images, believed to be from the sets of the film, has turned up online. These images have sent fans on social media into a frenzy, with speculations about the film’s possible gangster-style storyline.

In the photos believed to have leaked from the sets, a convoy of black cars and several men dressed in sharp all-black suits were spotted posing with the cars and fake ammunition. The striking visuals immediately reminded fans of Hollywood’s iconic ‘The Godfather’ franchise for its similar mafia-inspired themes.

While much of the film was kept under wraps, tidbits about the plot that leaked online, indicate that SRK will reportedly play mentor to daughter Suhana Khan’s character, a student assassin. He reportedly trains her to navigate the criminal world. At the time, it was alleged that the film would follow an arc inspired by ‘Léon: The Professional’. The two will be seen going up against an a common adversary, played by Abhishek Bachchan.This new reveal comes just days after Khan’s salt-and-pepper look from the film was leaked online, showing the superstar with tattoos on his body. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film ‘King’ has been touted as one of the superstar’s most ambitious projects yet. While the plot has been tightly kept under wraps, the latest visuals suggest a high-stakes narrative that could see the actor in an all-new light.’King’ is currently slated for its release in 2026, although an official date has not yet been announced.
