Samay Raina put ‘India’s Got Latent’ Season 2 back in the spotlight with a fresh update on the show’s return. The comedian confirmed that shooting for the new season has begun. His separate comment during the COB Revival finale sparked release date speculation among fans. He has not announced an official premiere date yet, but his latest social media post has fueled talk around the show’s comeback.

‘India’s Got Latent’ Season 2 shooting update

Samay shared the first official update on ‘India’s Got Latent’ Season 2 through Instagram. Fans had been asking him for a clear answer about the next season after he announced the return of his chess tournament “for old times’ sake.”Samay first posted a meme from his comedy special ‘Still Alive’. He then shared a behind-the-scenes picture from the set. In the photo, he held a microphone while Balraj Ghai stood behind him. The other panel members were hidden from view.Along with the photo, Samay wrote, “Uski bhi shooting chal rahi hai dostoooo (That is also being shot, friends).” Comedian Aashish Solanki was also partly visible in the frame.

‘India’s Got Latent’ Season 2 release date speculation

Free Press Journal reported that Samay also addressed the show during the COB Revival finale. When an audience member asked, “Latent kab aa raha hai? (When is Latent coming?)” Samay replied, “Maine 14 June ko India’s Got Latent shuru kiya tha (I had started India’s Got Latent on June 14).”The comment led fans to speculate that June 14 could be linked to the show’s return. One X user wrote, “Samay Raina FINALLY reveals date of Latent Season 2!” Another posted, “Did Samay Raina just announce India’s Got Latent Season 2 release date?”However, no official release date has been announced. Free Press Journal also noted that Samay did not reveal a specific premiere date.The first season of ‘India’s Got Latent’ faced controversy after a remark by Ranveer Allahbadia led to backlash, police complaints, and FIRs. Samay later removed all episodes from YouTube. The new season is now in production.
