The makers of the socio-political drama ‘The India Story’ have dropped the teaser, which brings together Shreyas Talpade and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles. Helmed by Chettan DK and backed by producer Sagar B. Shinde, the film aims to pull back the curtain on the deeply troubling and largely hidden world of food adulteration in India. Shreyas Talpade shares ‘The India Story’ teaser on Instagram

Taking to Instagram, Shreyas shared the teaser on Friday and captioned, “The numbers are public. The consequences are visible. Then why does the truth still feel hidden? Witness the truth unfold in #TheIndiaStory, Slow Poison In Progress… releasing in cinemas on 24th July 2026.”

‘The India Story’ tackles pesticide misuse and corporate accountability

‘The India Story’, also titled ‘The India Story: Slow Poison’, is a powerful socio-national drama that takes a hard look at the rampant and dangerous misuse of chemicals, focusing particularly on pesticide use in farming and the resulting controversies. The film raises serious questions about public health, safety standards and the glaring gaps in the regulatory framework meant to safeguard citizens. Instead, it presents a much broader and more alarming narrative, exposing industrial negligence, environmental degradation and the urgent need for corporate responsibility in a system that has long looked the other way.
