Imtiaz REACTS to ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ vs Kangana’s film

Imtiaz Ali’s much-anticipated film ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’, starring Sharvari, Vedang Raina, Diljit Dosanjh, and Naseeruddin Shah, is heading for a June 12 release alongside three other films – ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’, ‘Governor: The Silent Saviour’, and ‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’. Now, the filmmaker has responded to the movie clash with his characteristic calm.

Imtiaz Ali reacts to the ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ box office clash

Speaking to the Free Press Journal, Imtiaz Ali addressed the situation directly, saying, “These things are not in control. We announced first. Usually, in the film industry, there’s a kind of bhaichara like ‘meri film aarahi hai toh tu mat aa, next baar aaja’ and that kind of thing, and it usually works (Usually, in the film industry, there’s a kind of brotherhood where people say things like, ‘My film is releasing now, so don’t release yours at the same time, come next time,’ and that sort of understanding usually works).”He added, “This is the first time I am hearing that other movies are also coming out on that day. But, if that is going to be the case, then so be it.”He further put the crowded release calendar in perspective and said, “There are only 52 weeks, and there are more than 52 films that are released every year. So, this is bound to happen.”

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film features Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina, and Sharvari.
