The duo filmed the video at the Farm Fest at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire, where the choir’s performance was streamed live, according to The Irish Sun. “We just can’t believe it. Thank you all so much. Thank you for believing in us,” the official account of the reality show contestants said in the comments of the video. As for the 34-strong group made from across the UK, they sang ‘Pompeii’ by Bastille. Along with a golden buzzer, they were given a standing ovation from judges Amanda Holden and KSI.

Holden said, “Farming touches every single person in this country,” according to the Farmer’s Guardian. Meanwhile, KSI prompted, “The whole of the UK knows how important each and every one of you is. That was one of the best choir acts I have ever heard in my life.” Moreover, Simon Cowell also applauded the group after their performance. “I actually really liked the song. I love what you stand for. It might be a bit annoying to see Jeremy Clarkson’s smug face is the only downside. Well done,” he said.

About Hawkstone Farmers Choir

Hawkstone Farmers Choir started as a part of an ad campaign for Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone beer, where the group used to sing. Consisting of hardworking farmers, they decided to create a proper choir because the members loved it that much. Following a public vote, they now stand to be one of the finalists of Britain’s popular show.
