Priyanka Chopra on not being a morning person

Priyanka Chopra is not a morning person: ‘Don’t wake me up early unless I’m working and literally being paid'

Priyanka Chopra has been quite candid about how she absolutely hates waking up early in the morning.

Priyanka Chopra is a mother, a global icon, a singer, and an actress. However, one thing that she will never swear by is waking up early. Over the years, the actress has spoken up about not being a morning person and how she absolutely hates it. In an old interview, the ‘Varanasi’ star ended up getting candid about her fitness habits, and even shared a glimpse into her life of not wanting to wake up early.

When Priyanka Chopra got candid about her morning habits

In an old interview, with Pinkvilla ‘The Bluff’ actress Priyanka Chopra could not help but get candid about life and how much she hates the mornings. While talking to them last year, the actress had quipped about how she only wakes up in the morning for work, and if the circumstances would allow it at all, she would avoid it at all costs. The star hilariously added, “I can’t rise early. I hate waking up early. I can stay up till 7 in the morning, but don’t wake me up early unless I’m working and literally being paid to get up in the morning (laughs).” Even though the star does not wish to wake up early in the morning, she still takes her work quite seriously. In another older interview with Vogue India, the star revealed that there have been times when she has had to run out at 5 AM for 12-hour-long shifts on shoot days. She shared at the time, she would often complete her work days and then would rush home to her mother and her daughter, Malti Marie Jonas. In the interview, she added, “It’s been amazing to have them with me in Australia, but if I am being totally honest, it’s also really challenging and somewhat isolating to be so far away from everything.”The interview was taken around the same time as Chopra was busy filming for her role in ‘The Bluff’ in Australia.

What Priyanka Chopra’s morning looks like

In 2021, in another interview with Vogue UK, the actress had delved deep into what her morning routine looks like. Although she may not love it, responsibilities and necessities of work always end up waking the actress early on. As for her routine set up for the day, the actress shared at the time that “I didn’t want the answer to this to be drinking coffee, so this is a new thing. What I now do, and it’s something I learned in India, is keep a copper glass next to my bed and keep water in it overnight. The good qualities of copper seep into the water – it’s good for the immune system, bones and nerves. I drink that cup first thing, then I start my espresso machine and go about my day.”She also admitted that her dog has a tendency to wake her up in the morning as well. Other than that, her ‘first breakfast’ for the day begins with an espresso, and continues with light Indian breakfast options. While she is not a morning person, Chopra surely does take her morning routine as seriously as possible. On the work front, she will next be appearing in ‘Varanasi’, S. S. Rajamouli’s latest project, starring alongside Mahesh Babu. Go to Source
