Nearly two years after ending their 30-year marriage, Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness appear to be on the path to reconciliation.According to new reports, the former couple, who shocked fans with the abrupt end of their 3-decade-long marriage, have allegedly begun mending their relationship after a “traumatic betrayal” that “cut deep.”
Hugh and Deborra rebuilding friendship
Now, insiders claim that the pair have been quietly working to rebuild their friendship, with Jackman reportedly making efforts to reconcile.“Hugh has been trying to make peace with Debs for a long while now, but as you can imagine, it has taken her time to feel ready,” a source told Radar Online.
Divorce settlement helped mend the relationship
Furness officially filed for divorce earlier this year, and the pair have since reached a private settlement. “A settlement was reached that Deborra is pleased with, which includes a handsome spousal support payment,” a source told the Daily Mail. Radar Online shares that “Settling all the legal stuff seems to have helped because she’s finally coming around – they’ve gotten together a couple of times in New York recently to talk things out, and by all accounts, things have improved dramatically, which is fantastic for everyone, most of all their kids.”The insider added, “It’s been two years now since they officially separated and it really is time to let the hatred and anger go.”
Split was hard for the kids
Jackman and Furness share two children, who have reportedly been having a hard time with the split and accepting their dad’s new girlfriend, Sutton Foster, into their world. It must be noted that neither Jackman nor Furness has publicly addressed their current relationship status.
