FWICE WITHDRAWS non-cooperation directive against Ranveer

FWICE WITHDRAWS non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh with immediate effect post Guild and CINTAA mediations

FWICE has withdrawn its non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh with immediate effect, following intervention by IMPPA, Producers Guild, and CINTAA. The rollback came after Ranveer served a legal notice to the body. The controversy stemmed from his exit from Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 over creative differences and production delays.

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) on Wednesday announced the withdrawal of its non-cooperation directive against actor Ranveer Singh, which had been issued in connection with his departure from Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don 3’. The decision came after the Dhurandhar star served a legal notice to the organisation.

FWICE president BN Tiwari says ‘no one has won or lost’ in Ranveer Singh matter

According to PTI, the rollback came following intervention by the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association, the Producers Guild of India, and the Cine & TV Artistes’ Association. “We are taking back our non cooperative directive from immediate effect after a request by IMPAA, the producers’ guild and CINTAA. We have been told that we should all sit together with the producers’ body and take an appropriate decision where neither the producers and directors nor the actor face any issues,” FWICE president BN Tiwari told reporters. He further added, “No one has won or lost in this matter. Our legal department will respond to his legal notice.”

Ranveer Singh fires legal notice at FWICE over non-cooperation directive

This development comes just hours after Ranveer fired a legal notice at FWICE over its non-cooperation directive issued last month. The actor reportedly sent the notice on Tuesday, though the details of what it contains have not been made public yet. FWICE, too, has stayed quiet and is yet to respond to Ranveer’s legal notice.

How Ranveer Singh’s ‘Don 3’ exit snowballed into a full-blown legal battle

The dispute between Ranveer and Farhan Akhtar over ‘Don 3’ has emerged as one of the most high-profile controversies in recent Bollywood history. Multiple reports suggest that Singh’s exit from the film was triggered by creative differences with the makers, with several accounts also pointing to his dissatisfaction over repeated production delays and the absence of a finalised script. What initially appeared to be a straightforward casting change has since escalated into a significant legal matter, with Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment seeking Rs 45 crore in compensation and FWICE issuing a non-cooperation directive against the actor.

Ranveer Singh chooses silence and dignity amid ‘Don 3’ row

After the ban was imposed, Ranveer’s spokesperson stepped in with a statement, making it clear that the actor had no intention of fuelling the ongoing speculation and preferred to keep professional matters behind closed doors. “Throughout the recent developments surrounding ‘Don 3’, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect,” a part of the statement read.
