After quietly saying “I do” in an intimate civil ceremony at a London courthouse, celeb-couple Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are all set for a starry second wedding.The newlyweds are reportedly set to celebrate their marriage with a lavish three-day wedding in Sicily, where an estimated 300 guests, ranging from family, friends, singers and actors, will arrive at luxury villas that the couple have booked for the festivities. With reports suggesting that the celebrations could cost as much as GBP 1 million, here’s all you need to know about the wedding.

Dua and Callum’s Sicilian celebration is expected to be far more elaborate than their cute civil wedding. Reports suggest a second ceremony will be held during the weekend, reportedly officiated by Palermo Mayor Roberto Lagalla.As per the Daily Mail, the Sicilian celebration will bring together the families and friends of the couple on a glamorous destination-style wedding.

Palermo preps for a starry wedding

As per the report, work on cordoning off certain areas around the venues has already begun. Workers were reportedly seen closing roads around key venues as preparations intensified ahead of the wedding weekend. Private jet slots at Palermo Airport have also been booked months in advance, while fleets of luxury blacked-out vehicles are expected to transport guests between hotels, villas and ceremony locations. Wedding planner Alessandra Grillo, known for orchestrating high-profile Italian weddings, was spotted in Palermo overseeing final preparations ahead of the celebrations.

Venue for Dua and Callum’s wedding

All eyes will turn to Villa Igiea, the iconic five-star hotel overlooking the Mediterranean Sea for the big celebration. The luxury property has reportedly reserved two entire floors of suites for wedding guests and is said to be closed to the public throughout the weekend. The celebrations will be hosted at the historic hotel that offers sweeping sea views and old-world Sicilian elegance.

The White Lotus Connection

The main ceremony is expected to take place at Villa Valguarnera, a breathtaking 17th-century estate in Bagheria. Besides playing host to Dua and Callum’s guests, the villa also reportedly featured in the opening credits of HBO’s hit series The White Lotus.Inside, guests will reportedly celebrate within the Galleria degli Specchi, or Hall of Mirrors, one of the villa’s most striking architectural features. The property also boasts a rich connection to film history, having served as the backdrop for the famous ballroom sequence in Luchino Visconti’s 1963 film ‘The Leopard’, starring Burt Lancaster.

Dua Lipa’s bridal looks

Dua Lipa’s wedding wardrobe is expected to be the highlight. Reports suggest fashion icon Donatella Versace has personally overseen the singer’s bridal looks for the weekend. According to the Daily Mail, Versace has prepared a total of 26 outfit options for the bride, including multiple gowns for different events throughout the three-day celebration.

Star-studded guest list

The celebrations are expected to attract an impressive roster of music and entertainment figures.Among those reportedly invited are Elton John, Charli XCX, Olivia Dean and producer Mark Ronson, alongside family members, close friends and industry insiders. In total, around 300 guests are expected to attend the celebrations.

Security measures

With so many high-profile guests descending on Sicily, organisers have left little to chance and hired private security teams to protect the couple and their guests. Staff working across venues, hotels and catering operations have also been required to sign strict non-disclosure agreements designed to keep details of the celebration out of the public eye.
