Journalist turned filmmaker N.S. Shankar passes away

N.S. Shankar, the acclaimed Kannada movie maker and veteran journalist, died at the young age of 67 due to a heart attack he suffered during his sleep. He was greatly esteemed for successfully combining two professions: journalism and filmmaking. The movie he made after his debut, titled ‘Ulta Palta,’ is considered one of the most popular comedies of Kannada cinema.
