‘Bison’ box office collections : Crosses Rs 37 crores

'Bison Kaalamaadan' box office collections day 11: Dhruv Vikram’s emotional drama holds firm; crosses Rs 37 crores

Mari Selvaraj’s film ‘Bison Kaalamaadan’ is still going strong in theaters, raking in approximately Rs 1.15 crore on its eleventh day. The cumulative earnings now stand at Rs 37.30 crore. Audiences are particularly drawn to the authentic performance by Dhruv Vikram and Pasupathy’s heartfelt portrayal of fatherhood, creating an emotional connection that keeps viewers returning.

Mari Selvaraj’s ‘Bison Kaalamaadan’ continued its solid box office journey into its second week, recording a moderate dip on its eleventh day but maintaining a strong overall tally.According to the Sacnilk website, the Dhruv Vikram-starrer collected an estimated Rs 1.15 crore (India net, all languages) on Monday, taking its total to Rs 37.30 crore. After an impressive first weekend of the second week, the Monday figures mark a natural slowdown.

Steady momentum post weekend surge

The film grossed Rs 27.25 crore in its first week and added another Rs 10 crore over the weekend. On Day 10 (Sunday), it registered Rs 3.75 crore. The film registered an overall 15.74% Tamil occupancy on October 27.Reportedly, morning shows saw a 13.18% occupancy, with numbers gradually rising through the day — peaking at 17.61% during night shows.

Father-son emotion and performances drive the film

According to our official ETimes review, Dhruv Vikram delivers one of his most grounded performances, carrying the character Kittan with raw energy and vulnerability. Pasupathy’s portrayal of his father is deeply moving and serves as the emotional anchor of the story. Our review also says, “Rajisha Vijayan and Anupama are mostly bystanders to what’s happening but they’re good in their parts. The only hiccup comes with Rajisha’s dubbing. Choosing to go for a cookie-cutter dubbing voice for Rajisha definitely took away from the earthy tone of the film. Dhruv Vikram’s physical transformation for the film deserves applause and so does his acting.”
