Berlin Season 2: Conspiracy theories that have fans glued

'Berlin' Season 2 fan theories predict THIS as 'Money Heist' star Pedro Alonso and the crew return

The ‘Money Heist’ prequel, ‘Berlin’ is gearing up for another heist, almost three years after its debut on Netflix. In what may be one of the biggest spin-offs, centred on the series’ most charismatic and controversial character – Andres de Fonollosa, better known as Berlin. While Season 1 followed Berlin as he assembled a crew for a Euro 44 million jewel heist at a Paris auction house, there has been much buzz about the group, banding together for another thrilling season.

Pedro Alonso and the crew return

Pedro Alonso’s performance as Berlin, supported by an ensemble cast that included Michelle Jenner, Tristan Ulloa, Begona Vargas, Julio Peña Fernández and Joel Sanchez, helped establish Berlin as a European heist series, no less ambitious than ‘Money Heist’.With Season 2 officially on the way, fans have been abuzz with what comes next. Netflix has confirmed that Berlin and his crew will trade Paris for Spain, with the new season unfolding in Seville, with a fresh playground for a high-stakes robbery.

Popular ‘Berlin’ fan-theories

Fans, meanwhile, have already been connecting the dots and sharing their theories on what may come next. The Season 1 finale showed Berlin and his crew narrowing down on their next move. While details of the Seville job remain under wraps, fans can expect a high-stakes mission, much like the Paris haul.

Romance on the cards

One popular theory centres on the emotional fallout from the first season. Berlin’s complicated relationship with his ex-wife Camille ended on a hopeful note, but their distrust left the door open for future conflict. However, with Camille not announced among the returning characters, fans have been divided about her role. Attention has also turned to Damian, Berlin’s loyal right-hand man, whose jealousy and personal struggles could threaten the group’s plans.

Spanish royalty add to twist

The inclusion of Spanish nobility has sparked buzz that Season 2 will involve royalty or even walking away with the crown jewels. The arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Malaga has added another layer of intrigue.
