Anupam Kher writes a letter to his 16-year-old self; says he is 'still the boy from Shimla'

Veteran actor Anupam Kher shared a heartfelt note to his 16-year-old self, reflecting on his journey from Shimla to global stardom. He expressed gratitude for his younger self’s big dreams and resilience, emphasizing that despite life’s challenges and successes, he remains the same small-town boy who believed anything was possible.

Anupam Kher took to his Instagram to pen a long note and dedicated it to his 16-year-old self. He expressed that how he is still a boy from Shimla, but just a little older now. Sharing an old photograph, the veteram actor thanked his his 16-year-old self for dreaming big and not giving up on them.

Anupam Kher dropped a monochrome picture of himself on Instgram and wrote, “LETTER TO MY 16YEAR OLD SELF! Dear 16-Year-Old Me (Bittu), Looking at you in this photograph, I see a young boy from Shimla with big dreams in his eyes… and a lot of uncertainty in his heart.”The post also featured another picture of Anupam Kher with “550 not out!” written over it, referring to the number of movie he has starred in. Meanwhile, the caption further read, “You don’t know it yet, but life is going to take you on an extraordinary journey. From the quiet hills of Shimla to stages, studios, and screens across the world. You will meet thousands of people, play hundreds of characters, experience applause, criticism, success, failure, and moments that will test your courage.”A few lines from the note read, “After all these years… I am still you. The same small-town boy who believed that “Kuch bhi ho sakta hai.” The same boy who never allowed circumstances to define his dreams. The same boy who laughed loudly, felt deeply and refused to give up.”Anupam Kher concluded the note, writing, “Stay exactly the way you are dearest. The world will try to CHANGE you. But your greatest victory will be remaining YOURSELF! With love, pride, and gratitude, You…. Bittu, (now known as ANUPAM) Just a little older, but still the boy from Shimla.”Take a look.

Anupam Kher was last seen in the film ‘Tanvi The Great’, in which he played the role of Colonel Pratap Raina. The movie received love from the critics but tanked at the box office. It was directed by Kher and was released in July last year.
