Dhurandhar: Madhubanti says she was SCARED to recreate Ramba Ho

Singer Madhubanti Bagchi, who crooned the revamped version of the iconic track ‘Ramba Ho’ for ‘Dhurandhar’, recently opened up about her experience recording the song. The singer revealed she was initially a bit hesitant to take up the song since it was legendary. She recalled music composer Shashwat Sachdev telling her that the song is “crucial” in the movie. She remembered him telling her that the track comes at a “very bizarre point in the film where you wouldn’t expect a ‘Ramba Ho’.”

Further sharing about her nervousness, Madhubanti Bagchi added, “Initially, I was very hesitant to sing ‘Ramba Ho,’ because it’s such a legendary song. I was extremely scared of underperforming. The standards were so high because it’s a Usha Didi song, and it’s somewhere at the top.”However, when the makers showed the visuals of where the song has been incorporated, she found it “cool.” She said, “The music starts from the older version and transcends into the newer version.” Madhubanti Bagachi talks about the success of the film’s musicThe singer further recalled Aditya Dhar giving her a unique tip during the recording session. She said, “That day, Aditya was also like, ‘Sing it as it should be in a gunfight sequence.'”In the same interaction, Madhubanti Bagchi also talked about the success of the music of ‘Dhurandhar’. She said, “You can see passion, and Shashwat is very passionate about his work. Aditya Dhar’s leadership means a lot. In a film environment, a captain’s role matters a lot.”Bagchi also shared that movies and albums fail due to a lack of a particular direction. She said, “It’s not just about one promotional song; it should be the sole connection to the story we are trying to tell and navigate along the way.
