Shillong Teer lottery combines traditional archery with the thrill of winning cash prizes. Widely popular in Meghalaya, it not only offers attractive rewards but also helps in promoting the age-old sport of archery.
HOW TO PLAY SHILLONG LOTTERY?
The Shillong Teer lottery is conducted in two short rounds, each lasting two minutes. In the first round, skilled archers shoot 30 arrows, followed by 20 arrows in the second round.
Players place their bets by selecting a number between 0 and 99, aiming to predict how many arrows will hit the target. Tickets are available at licensed counters in denominations of Rs 1, Rs 5, Rs 10, Rs 20 and Rs 50.
The prize amount varies based on the ticket price and the accuracy of the prediction. For instance, a correct guess in the first round with a Rs 1 ticket earns Rs 80, while a successful prediction in the second round brings Rs 60. Players who correctly predict both rounds can win up to Rs 4,000 with just a Rs 1 ticket.
