In a daring heist in Kavathemahankal in Maharashtra’s Sangli district, four individuals posing as Income Tax officers raided the home of renowned doctor Jagannath Mhetre on Sunday night, making off with a large haul of gold ornaments and cash.

The impostors gained entry with a fake ‘search warrant’, carrying out the audacious robbery under the guise of an official tax raid, reminiscent of the Bollywood movie ‘Special 26’.
