A new political chapter begins in Karnataka as DK Shivakumar has been unanimously elected leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP), paving the way for him to become the state’s 18th Chief Minister. The decision was formalized at a CLP meeting in Bengaluru after outgoing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah proposed Shivakumar’s name, which was seconded by senior Congress leader G.
