New Delhi: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched a month-long customer engagement campaign titled ‘Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder Month’, aimed at celebrating the success of its hybrid SUV while promoting awareness of strong hybrid technology among buyers in North India.

The campaign, which began on February 16 and will run until the end of March, will be conducted across major northern markets including NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir. As part of the initiative, customers will be offered immersive test-drive experiences along with a range of value-led benefits.

The move comes as the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder continues to gain traction in the Indian market. Launched in 2022, the SUV recently crossed the 200,000-unit sales milestone, reflecting growing consumer acceptance of Toyota’s strong hybrid technology. The model is priced from ₹10.94 lakh (ex-showroom).

A key highlight of the Hyryder is its self-charging strong hybrid electric system, which combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with Toyota Hybrid System (THS) and an advanced e-drive transmission. According to the company, the SUV can operate up to 40 per cent of the distance and 60 per cent of the time on electric power with the engine shut off, delivering a claimed fuel efficiency of 27.97 km/l.

The SUV is offered with two powertrain options. The strong hybrid system produces a combined output of 85 kW, while the Neo Drive variant, powered by a 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine with Integrated Starter Generator (ISG), delivers 75 kW and 135 Nm of torque with manual and automatic transmission options, including 2WD and 4WD configurations.

In terms of design and comfort, the Hyryder features a crystal acrylic grille, twin LED daytime running lamps, sculpted body lines, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The cabin offers ventilated leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and an electronic parking brake.

Toyota is supporting the campaign with consumer benefits of up to ₹1 lakh, exchange offers, and flexible finance options such as Buy Now, Pay Later schemes.

The Hyryder is backed by a 3-year/100,000 km standard warranty, extendable up to 5 years/220,000 km, along with five years of roadside assistance. The hybrid battery also carries an 8-year/160,000 km warranty, reinforcing Toyota’s push to build long-term confidence in hybrid technology.
