Tesla India, which officially launched in July 2025, has begun deliveries of its Model Y electric SUV, marking a key milestone in the company’s entry into the Indian EV market.

New Model Y owners will receive a complimentary wall connector for convenient home or workplace charging. Tesla’s charging ecosystem also includes Tesla Charging Stations in Mumbai (One BKC) and Delhi (Aerocity), featuring V4 Superchargers and Destination Chargers. The system allows vehicles to pre-condition the battery en route to optimise charging efficiency. At a peak rate of 250 kW, a Model Y can gain up to 267 km of range in just 15 minutes.

Redesigned Model Y

The redesigned Model Y, is available in Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive trims, offering 500 km and 622 km (WLTP) ranges, respectively. Prices start at ₹59,89,000, and customers can book vehicles via Tesla.com or experience them at Tesla Experience Centers in Mumbai and Delhi. Test drives are also available by appointment.

Tesla vehicles receive continuous Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, adding new features and enhancing performance. In 2024, over 250 features were delivered via OTA, and more than 70 features have already been released in 2025.

With the Model Y rollout and comprehensive charging solutions, Tesla aims to provide a seamless EV experience, enabling drivers to “plug in, charge and go” while advancing India’s transition to sustainable transport.
