Škoda KylaqŠkoda Auto India’s best-selling model, The Kylaq, crossed 50,000 units in cumulative sales since its launch and has been a key contributor to the company’s strongest-ever annual performance in 2025, the company said in a press release on Wednesday.
The firm has expanded the variant mix of its sub-4m SUV Kylaq, adding new trims and price points as part of its strategy to broaden customer choice and strengthen its presence in the compact SUV segment.
The company said that it plans further additions to the Kylaq range later this year as it looks to sustain growth momentum in the passenger vehicle market.
The Kylaq lineup has been expanded from four variants and seven price points to six variants and 11 price points in 2026. The company has introduced a new Classic+ variant positioned between the Classic and Signature trims, while a new Prestige+ trim has been added at the top end of the range.
The expanded lineup is aimed at offering a wider spread of features and price points to address diverse customer preferences in the sub-4m SUV market.
Feature upgrades across trims
Škoda Auto India has introduced additional features across multiple variants of the Kylaq. The new Classic+ trim offers features such as an electric sunroof, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, LED lighting and a multi-function steering wheel, along with an automatic torque converter transmission.
Higher trims such as Signature and Signature+ have also received upgrades including paddle shifters for automatic variants, rear wiper and washer, LED reading lamps and additional convenience features.
The Prestige range has been split into Prestige and Prestige+ variants to provide greater differentiation and value at the top end of the lineup.
The expansion of the Kylaq portfolio reflects Škoda Auto India’s focus on increasing accessibility to European technology and strengthening its competitiveness in India’s fast-growing compact SUV segment.
