Maruti Suzuki Fronx crosses 5 lakh production mark in 28 months

Maruti Suzuki India on Tuesday announced that its compact SUV, the Fronx, has reached a cumulative production milestone of 5 lakh units in 28 months since its launch in 2023.

In FY25, the Fronx was the highest exported passenger vehicle. According to the company, one in every five units manufactured of the Fronx is exported, with Japan, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa among its key markets.

It registered its highest-ever monthly sales of over 21,400 units in February 2025.

Hisashi Takeuchi, MD & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “We are deeply grateful to our customers for choosing Fronx as their vehicle of choice. This milestone reflects India’s manufacturing excellence and customer acceptance for vehicles with futuristic design.”

The Fronx comes with a turbo engine option and advanced features such as a head-up display, 360-degree camera, wireless smartphone charger, and a 9-inch Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
