EV volumes for FY26 rose 43 per cent to 92,120 units, compared to 64,276 units in the previous year.

“For Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, FY26 has been a landmark year marked by multiple milestones. We achieved our highest ever annual sales volumes of over 6.4 lakh units, delivering industry beating growth of 15 per cent YoY,” said Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director and CEO, TMPV.

Chandra said Nexon and Punch emerged as the highest-selling SUV models in the second half of the year, while demand remained strong for hatchbacks as well.

Looking ahead, he said industry momentum is expected to sustain, led by SUVs, CNG and EV growth, while geopolitical developments remain a key monitorable due to potential supply-side risks.
