Kia India on Wednesday unveiled the all-new Seltos, introducing a fully redesigned version of one of its popular midsize SUVs with a larger footprint, a new global platform and a broader range of technology and safety features. Bookings open nationwide at midnight on 11 December for an initial amount of ₹25,000, with prices announced on 2 January 2026.

The new Seltos, which the company said marks “more than a generation change”, is built on Kia’s global K3 platform, making its India debut. At 4,460 mm in length and 1,830 mm in width, it is now the longest SUV in its segment, with a 2,690 mm wheelbase that aims to improve cabin space and stability.

Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director & CEO, Kia India, said the latest model “pushes boundaries with bolder design, advanced safety and segment-leading technology”, reflecting customer insights while meeting global standards.

“We are confident the all-new Kia Seltos will disrupt the category again and strengthen Kia’s long-term leadership in India,” he said.

Enhanced design and cabin experience

The SUV features Kia’s updated ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, including a new Digital Tiger Face grille, Ice Cube LED projection headlamps, Star Map LED DRLs, and first-in-segment Automatic Streamline Door Handles. Two new colours—Morning Haze and Magma Red—have been added to the palette.

Inside, the Seltos gets a more premium layout with a 75.18 cm (30-inch) Trinity Panoramic Display Panel, Bose eight-speaker audio, dual-tone leatherette interiors and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. A 10-way power driver seat with power lumbar adjust, relaxation function, ventilated seats, and an Integrated Memory Driver Seat with ORVM-linked settings aim to enhance comfort.

Rear passengers get reclinable 60:40 seats, sunshade curtains and Type-C charging ports, while ambient lighting and wireless smartphone charging complete the feature list.

Future-ready tech and connectivity
The SUV introduces first-in-segment Smart Key Proximity Unlock, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and upgraded Kia Connect 2.0 with over-the-air software and feature updates. The company said the connected suite improves real-time diagnostics, safety and personalisation.

Kia has equipped the new Seltos with a 24-feature standard safety pack, including six airbags, ESC, hill-start assist and rollover sensor. The ADAS Level 2 suite includes 21 autonomous features, such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go. The SUV also includes a Blind View Monitor, 360-degree surround camera and side parking sensors.

Powertrains and variants
The all-new Seltos will be offered with three engines: the Smartstream G1.5 petrol (115 PS), the Smartstream G1.5 T-GDI petrol (160 PS) and the 1.5-litre CRDi VGT diesel (116 PS). Transmission options include 6MT, 6iMT, IVT, 7DCT and 6AT.

The model range includes four base trims—HTE, HTK, HTX and GTX—with four additional option variants and an X-Line styling pack available on the top trims.

Kia said the SUV is being manufactured at its Anantapur plant and expects the new Seltos to strengthen its presence in the fast-growing midsize SUV segment, one of the largest and most competitive categories in India’s passenger vehicle market.
