Kia India announced major leadership transitions on Friday, appointing Sunhack Park as Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and Joonsu Cho as Chief Business Officer (CBO). The move comes amid the automaker’s efforts to strengthen its management team and sustain growth in the Indian market.

Park to drive growth
Park, who brings 28 years of international automotive experience, will head Kia India’s sales operations. In his new role, he will focus on driving sustainable growth, improving operational efficiency, and expanding the brand’s market footprint. He has previously held senior leadership positions across Kia’s global network, including at the headquarters in South Korea, the Middle East & Africa, and India.

“My focus will be on driving sales growth, optimising operational efficiency, and strengthening our dealer and partner ecosystem,” Park said.

Cho to head strategy
Joonsu Cho, with over 32 years of global experience across markets such as Australia, the UK, and Europe, will oversee Kia India’s overall business strategy, production planning, and export logistics. He will also lead cross-functional teams, form strategic alliances, and ensure operational excellence in his capacity as CBO.

“I am honoured to assume the role of Chief Business Officer. Kia India has made remarkable strides in the market, and my priority will be to develop and execute robust business strategies that support sustainable growth and operational excellence,” Cho said.

With these appointments, Kia India said it aims to reinforce its leadership team and build on its innovation-driven strategy to maintain a strong growth trajectory in the country’s competitive automotive market.
