Former Maruti Suzuki executive Sunil Moolchandani joins Hyundai Motor India

Hyundai Motor India Limited has appointed Sunil Moolchandani to its senior management team, effective 23 October 2025. The company disclosed the development through a regulatory filing.

The appointment comes soon after Hyundai named Tarun Garg as its first Indian Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer in the company’s 29-year history in India.

Professional background

Moolchandani has more than 24 years of experience in the automotive and commercial sectors. Prior to joining Hyundai, he served as Chief Commercial Officer for the Central Zone at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, where he contributed to business growth and operations. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pune, completed in 1999, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD), Pune, obtained between 1999 and 2001.

The disclosure was signed by Pradeep Chugh, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of Hyundai Motor India Limited.
