Shah Rukh Khan gave Ananya Panday THIS acting advice

Shah Rukh Khan gave Ananya Panday THIS acting advice for emoting grief on the big screen

In addition to his movies and impeccable screen presence, Shah Rukh Khan is loved for his words of wisdom. The actor who has been a part of the industry for decades knows almost every trick of the trade. Therefore, several young stars often reach out to him or look up to the king for guidance. The ‘Call Me Bae’ star Ananya Panday also received a piece of advice from the beloved Badsaha of Bollywood, which highlights how the actor emotes some of the most difficult sentiments effortlessly on the screen.

Ananya Panday reveals one acting advice Shah Rukh Khan gave her

Ananya Panday recently attended IFP Season 15, and during the same, she shared one piece of advice given to her by Shah Rukh Khan. He decoded for her the formula to emote beautifully and naturally in a scene that features someone’s demise. He told her that instead of focusing on the person who left, just think about how life would be without the presence of that particular person. “Shah Rukh sir had actually told me once… I could be saying this completely wrong, but this is what I remember. He had once told me that when there’s a scene where someone dies, instead of thinking about that person being dead, think about how life would be without that person,” she said before adding, “Think about continuing life, but that person is not there anymore. Or think about the happy moments with that person, and that will make you sad.”

Ananya Panday on her conversation with cousin Ahaan Panday before ‘Saiyaara’ release

During the same session, she shared another personal anecdote, where she spoke about the time her cousin Ahaan Panday reached out to her right ahead of his debut ‘Saiyaara’ release. She mentioned him being nervous and then how things simply fell into place, and Ahaan became a household name, and his movie got a place among the highest Bollywood grossers of 2025. “Even with my brother Ahaan’s film, Saiyaara, before that, no one even knew that this film was coming out. No one knew Ahaan. No one knew Aneet. And I remember speaking to Ahaan like 3–4 days before the film was coming out. And he was just like, ‘I don’t know what’s gonna happen. I hope people watch my film.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, yeah, people will watch it,’” she recalled.“Then it opened to ₹22 crores, like that’s insane! They made history. Time has changed so much. You really don’t know what is going to work and what’s not going to work. So you really have to just do your best as an actor. For me, success would be just being the best possible actor that I can be,” said the actress.

Ananya Panday’s upcoming movie

Ananya Panday will next be seen in ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.’ Featuring her alongside Kartik Aaryan, the movie is a rom-com, which is already making noise for the lead pair’s chemistry. Go to Source
