‘De De Pyaar De 2’ box office collection day 13

'De De Pyaar De 2' box office collection day 13: The Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, R Madhavan starrer inches towards Rs 70 crore

Ajay Devgn’s ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, the sequel to the 2019 hit, has been performing reasonably well at the box office. The film opened at around Rs 8.75 crore and showed some improvement over its first Saturday and Sunday, though the industry expected stronger growth driven by positive word of mouth. After earning Rs 51.1 crore in its first week, ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ collected Rs 2.25 crore on its second Friday, followed by Rs 4 crore and Rs 4.50 crore on its second Saturday and Sunday. These day 9 and day 10 figures helped the film outperform the first-weekend numbers of both ‘120 Bahadur’ and ‘Masti 4’. As expected, the film saw a drop on Monday, bringing in Rs 1.50 crore. On second Tuesday, it has made Rs 1.75 crore. On Wednesday, it dropped furher and made Rs 1.25 crore. The total collection of the movie is now Rs 66.25 crore in India, according to Sacnilk. The original ‘De De Pyaar De’ (2019) had shown excellent stability after its opening week, collecting Rs 14.04 crore in its second weekend. Strong word-of-mouth, its modern storytelling, and the chemistry shared by Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Rakul Preet Singh all contributed to its sustained success. Comparatively, ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ has reached Rs 10.75 crore in its second weekend—over Rs 3.29 crore less than the first film. This decline was anticipated due to its softer first-week numbers.
