Mom-to-be Samantha Ruth Prabhu gave fans another glimpse of her pregnancy journey by sharing a playful post on social media.Taking to the Stories section of her Instagram handle on Tuesday, the actress posted a top-angle photo of her prominent baby bump. While her growing belly was partially covered with a large pillow, Samantha accompanied the image with a humorous caption.”My six pack. I’ll see you when I see you,” read the text overlay on the picture.The lighthearted update comes shortly after Samantha confirmed that she is expecting her first child with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru.
Samantha confirms maternity break after Maa Inti Bangaaram
During the success meet of her latest release, Maa Inti Bangaaram, Samantha opened up about her upcoming plans and revealed that she will be stepping away from work for a while to embrace motherhood.“After Maa Inti Bangaaram, I will have to take a small break, given my condition. I’ll have to take maternity leave. After that, I’ll be back with another film for my fans,” the actress said during the event.
Pregnancy speculation began after film event appearance
Rumours about Samantha’s pregnancy first surfaced following her appearance at the success celebration of Maa Inti Bangaaram. Fans noticed what appeared to be a baby bump as she attended the event in a fitted white bodycon top paired with blue denim.According to reports, Samantha and Raj are expected to welcome their first child in December this year.
Samantha and Raj’s relationship
Samantha married Raj Nidimoru, one half of the filmmaker duo Raj & DK, in December last year. The two are believed to have met while working on the acclaimed series The Family Man Season 2, in which Samantha earned widespread praise for her performance.This is Samantha’s second marriage. She was previously married to Naga Chaitanya. The former couple tied the knot in October 2017 after dating for several years before announcing their separation in October 2021.
