In an industry where most films peak within the first few weeks, Laalo’s journey went in reverseThe film opened modestly, collecting Rs 33 lakh in Week 1, followed by Rs 27 lakh in Week 2. Ordinarily, such numbers would indicate that the film is going to be out of the theaters but that’s where destiny changed for this film. Powered by exceptional word-of-mouth and deep emotional connect with audiences, Laalo witnessed a rare third-week surge with Rs 62 lakh. Then came the explosion.Week 4 collections shot up to an astonishing Rs 12.08 crore, marking one of the biggest jumps ever recorded for a Gujarati-language film.
