Erika Kirk, the wife of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, shared a very emotional truth during a live talk with Megyn Kelly in Arizona. She said she was “praying to God” that she was pregnant when her husband was shot and killed in September at Utah Valley University. Erika, who is 37, said she hoped she was carrying another baby because she always wanted a bigger family with Charlie Kirk. This was one of her most open talks since Charlie’s death. Charlie was the founder of Turning Point USA and was one of the most well-known conservative voices in the country. His killing shocked the whole conservative world. Erika spoke about her deep pain, her hope, her two young children, and her strong faith. She also spoke about why young women should not wait too long to have kids.

During the event in Glendale, Megyn Kelly asked Erika how many kids she and Charlie wanted. Erika said they wanted four children, and she hoped she was pregnant when Charlie was murdered. She said it would have felt like a small blessing in the middle of a huge tragedy.Erika Kirk also told young women not to wait too long to have children. She said careers can continue later, but having kids cannot be delayed forever. She explained that she and Charlie were excited to grow their family and were both praying for another baby.Megyn Kelly reminded her that she has two kids, a boy and a girl. Erika said she knows they will grow up and learn how important their father was. Kelly told the crowd that one day the children will understand they are Charlie Kirk’s children, and everyone clapped.
