Paresh Rawal’s ‘ The Taj Story’ collects Rs 6.67 crore in week 2; witnesses drop by almost 40 %

Paresh Rawal’s “The Taj Story” is performing well, earning Rs 17.67 crore and showing a modest 40% drop in its second week. The film, exploring the Taj Mahal’s history, has already turned a profit on its Rs 7-8 crore budget. Rawal also has “Thamma” doing well, but faces competition from upcoming releases.

Paresh Rawal’s controversial film The Taj Story has witnessed a steady run at the box office in the second week where it collected Rs 6.67 crore, taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 17.67 crore.The overall drop in second week collection is just around 40 % which goes on to show that the audience was very much invested in the film and it will spend couple of more weeks at the ticket window. Paresh Rawal Returns To Hera Pheri 3 After Legal Battle With Akshay Kumar

The film revolves around a court case filed by Paresh Rawal’s character questioning the authenticity and truth of Taj Mahal as who built it and what was the purpose behind it and is it actually a mausoleum , he plays the role of Taj Mahal guide in the film.

As per Paresh Rawal the film has been made on a budget of Rs 7-8 crore, the film has already turned a profit for the makers.The Taj Story marks another win at the box office for Paresh Rawal as his other release Thamma has also been doing good business at the ticket window.But both the films will be facing stiff competition Friday onwards with the release of De De Pyaar De 2 with Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, R Madhavan and Meezaan Jaafri along with Kaantha starring Dulquer Salmaan, Rana Daggubati and Bhagyashri BorseParesh Rawal’s next release is going to be Priyadarshan’s Bhoot Bangla with Akshay Kumar and soon all three of them along with Suniel Shetty are set to begin shooting for Hera Pheri 3. The issues between makers and Paresh Rawal has been sorted out and the filming is expected to begin in 2026.
