‘Bhooth Bangla’ OTT release: Akshay Kumar’s horror comedy likely to stream from THIS date

Akshay Kumar’s horror comedy ‘Bhooth Bangla’, which reunited him with director Priyadarshan, has been a solid box office hit, collecting Rs 175 crores nett in India and Rs 240 crores globally. The film is now likely heading to Netflix on June 12, though an official confirmation is still awaited.

Akshay Kumar has been enjoying a strong run at the box office, and his horror comedy Bhooth Bangla has added to that winning streak, emerging as a clean hit after the success of Oh My God 2. The film was especially significant as it reunited Akshay with veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan, known for delivering some of Bollywood’s most loved comedy entertainers. Coming after Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the Akshay starrer managed to pull audiences to theatres and keep cinema halls buzzing.

‘Bhooth Bangla’ likely to premiere on Netflix on June 12

Even after spending more than a month in theatres, Bhooth Bangla continues to perform steadily at the box office. The film is now reportedly gearing up for its OTT premiere on June 12, with Netflix holding the post-theatrical streaming rights. However, an official announcement regarding the streaming date is still awaited.

‘Bhooth Bangla’ box office collection: Film earns Rs 240 crore globally

On the box office front, Bhooth Bangla has reportedly collected Rs 175 crore nett in India, while its worldwide gross has reached approximately Rs 240 crore.Wamiqa Gabbi played the female lead in the film, which also featured an ensemble cast including Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Jisshu Sengupta, Mithila Palkar, Rajesh Sharma, Manoj Joshi and the late Asrani in pivotal roles.The film has been jointly produced by Akshay Kumar, Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor.
