Ananya Panday DEFENDS Gen Z’s views on ‘mental health’

Ananya Panday DEFENDS Gen Z’s views on ‘mental health’; Farah Khan and Twinkle Khanna say ‘they are traumatised by everything’

Ananya Panday and Farah Khan brought laughs and lively debate to the latest episode of ‘Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle’. What began as a fun, light-hearted chat quickly turned into a playful generational showdown, as ‘Student of the Year 2’ actress took a stand for Gen Z’s views on emotions and mental health.

Seniors poke fun at Gen Z knowledge

During the episode, the group played a game where they had to agree or disagree with a statement. Twinkle’s tongue-in-cheek prompt, “Gen Z needs Google Maps to walk down their own street,” had ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ actress firmly in disagreement, while all three senior guests agreed instantly.“Gen Z knows a lot more than what people give them credit for,” Ananya said. Farah quickly added, “What do they know? They know about sourdough and all that.”

Ananya Panday defends her generation’s emotional awareness

The ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’ actress continued, “They are very in touch with their emotions. They are the first generation that is talking about feelings. They are the first generation who are embracing mental health and freedom of expression.”Twinkle chimed in with her characteristic wit, “They are traumatised by everything.” Farah added, “They are expressing it a bit too much. Even to get out of something is a mental health issue.”

Kajol, Twinkle question social media’s casting influence

The conversation later touched on the growing influence of social media on casting decisions. Ananya agreed, saying that digital popularity now plays a major role. However, Kajol, Twinkle and Farah were unconvinced. Farah remarked, “Filmmakers do not cast actors in lead roles solely on the basis of their online numbers.”

What is ‘Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle’ about?

The show pairs Kajol and Twinkle as host, each episode explores guests’ lives, careers, relationships, and experiences in a mix of laughter and honest conversation. ‘Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle’ debuted with Salman Khan and Aamir Khan and has since welcomed Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, and Sonakshi Sinha.
