Sports brand Reebok has marked its return to performance football launching the all-new Sidewinder 26 Elite FG later this month.

Inspired by a 1996 archival design and reimagined for today’s athlete, the Sidewinder “blends Reebok’s heritage with innovation built for speed, control and striking precision.”
Its the brand’s first on-field boot in decades, the launch underscores the brands “continued investment in team sport and performance innovation.”
Unveiled by Reebok’s elite athletic team of ambassadors, the line-up includes Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović, Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah and newly-signed Manchester United goalkeeper Kayla Rendell, to help “usher in a new era for Reebok on the pitch and continues its growing roster of athletes representing Reebok across global sport.”
Football legend Iker Casillas will also support future football silhouettes set to launch in the seasons ahead.
The multinational range of ambassadors sums up Reebok. Founded in England, it was later owned by a German company (Adidas) but is now American-owned (Authentic Brands Group). But it has its major European hub in London.
The boot itself claims a combination of “advanced construction and performance-led technology to deliver agility, stability and refined touch under pressure.”
“Lightweight yet supportive, it enables sharp cuts, quick transitions and complete command of the ball at speed, translating instinct into decisive execution at the highest level,” claims the maker.
Reebok CEO Todd Krinsky added: “Reebok has a deep legacy in football, and returning to the game is an important step in our broader performance strategy. With Sidewinder, we’re bringing a new energy and a distinct point of view to the sport – built for today’s athlete and what comes next.”
Priced $230/£170, the Sidewinder 26 Elite FG will initially be available in a black/lime green colourway, with additional colourways introduced later in the summer. It’s available exclusively on the Pro:Direct UK and Europe website from 24 June, expanding globally on Reebok.com and Soccer.com on 1 July.
