Siddharth breaks silence on comparisons of SRK-Brad Pitt look

Shah Rukh Khan's look in 'King' copied from Brad Pitt in 'F1'? Director Siddharth Anand breaks silence on the comparisons

Ever since the makers unveiled the first look of Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated film ‘King’ on his 60th birthday, the internet has been abuzz with chatter, particularly about how SRK’s look bears an uncanny resemblance to Brad Pitt’s appearance in ‘F1’. Images of Brad Pitt and SRK in similar looks and exact same clothes started floating around on social media. Now, director Siddharth Anand has broken his silence on the ongoing comparisons and fan theories surrounding the project. The moment ‘King’s’ first look hit social media, timelines were flooded with posts dissecting Shah Rukh’s outfit, a blue shirt paired with a tan jacket. Many users immediately pointed out its similarity to Brad Pitt’s look from F1, sharing side-by-side stills of the two stars. While some called the resemblance a harmless “inspiration,” others accused the team of “copying,” igniting a heated debate online.Amidst the growing buzz, Siddharth Anand took note of a viral tweet questioning the relentless criticism Bollywood often faces. The post read, “Funny logic by haters these days. If Bollywood movie has:-Fighter Jet – Copy of Top Gun, Ship – Copy of Titanic, Same dress code – Copy of F1, Orange Dress – Anti-Hindu, Their IQ level is like – buffering since 1947.” Accompanying the tweet was a collage — featuring Shah Rukh in a similar outfit from his 2017 film Jab Harry Met Sejal, Brad Pitt from his 2025 film F1, and the now-viral still from King that sparked the entire comparison. Reacting to the post, Siddharth Anand dropped multiple laughing emojis followed by the “okay” hand emoji in the comments, seemingly agreeing with the user’s sarcastic take on the situation. Meanwhile, recently during a fan meet on his birthday, Shah Rukh opened up about his character in ‘King’ and said, “I just feel, film ke andar naa kuchh interesting agar hum nahi karenge, toh wohi shots ke andar hero aayega, do gaane gaayega, do fight karega, chala jaayega. Toh, King ka jo character hai, bohot hi interesting hai. Siddharth aur Sujoy ne bohot prem se likha hai. Aur usme bohot saari buraaiyaan hain. Khooni hai, logo ko maar deta hai aur poochta bhi nahi, ‘kitne the kabhi poocha nahi’. I think storytelling ke liye, aur isliye nahi ki youngsters ab filmein dekhte hain, I think bohot zaroori hai ki mere jaise hero log jo hain, woh alag alag roles play karein. Kuchh inspiring ho, kuchh aspiring ho, kuchh comic ho, kuchh romantic ho.” Go to Source
