Sodapoppin claims HasanAbi used shock collar on dog Kaya while Nmplol stays neutral

Twitch streamer Sodapoppin has weighed in on the ongoing HasanAbi dog collar controversy, saying directly that he believes Hasan used a shock collar on his dog, Kaya. The statement came during a recent episode of Nmplol’s Twitch podcast, where the two discussed the viral clip showing Hasan pressing a remote during a live dog training session. The exchange reignited debate over Hasan’s dog training methods.

Nmplol refuses to weigh in as Sodapoppin accuses HasanAbi of using shock collar on dog

During the discussion, Sodapoppin, known for his candid takes, said he was convinced HasanAbi used the shock function on Kaya’s collar. “It was definitely a shock,” he said, referencing the viral October clip that sparked intense scrutiny. The footage showed Hasan pressing an e-collar remote while instructing Kaya to stay on her dog bed during a livestream. However, Nmplol, whose real name is Nick Polom, refused to share an opinion on the matter. Despite being the host who brought up the topic, he clarified that he hadn’t personally watched the clip and preferred not to speculate. His neutral stance contrasted with Sodapoppin’s direct claim, creating a noticeable divide in tone during the segment.HasanAbi has repeatedly denied using the shock function, asserting that he relies solely on vibration settings as part of structured obedience training. He argues that the “place” command helps large dogs like Kaya rest between active sessions, framing the viral moment as misinterpreted by viewers unfamiliar with e-collar training.

Ongoing debate over HasanAbi’s dog training methods

This isn’t the first time the streamer’s dog training practices have faced scrutiny. Earlier this month, creator QTCinderella confirmed that Hasan’s collar model was capable of delivering shocks but clarified that its prongs were removed and taped over, making electrical stimulation unlikely. The clip’s continued circulation on social media, including discussions on Reddit and Twitter, has fueled ongoing debate among viewers, trainers, and fellow creators. Some argue that Hasan’s use of an e-collar reflects responsible training methods when used correctly, while others see it as unnecessary or harsh. As Sodapoppin and Nmplol’s exchange spreads across the streaming community, it underscores how differing interpretations of the same clip continue to divide both audiences and creators. For now, HasanAbi remains firm in his defense, maintaining that Kaya’s wellbeing has always been his top priority. Also Read: U.S. Vice President JD Vance comments on Hasan Piker’s dog collar controversy
