‘You’re F***ing Negative’: Frustrated Trump snaps at Netanyahu over Gaza peace plan in a phone call: Report

As negotiators prepare for talks in Cairo, reports are emerging that US President Donald Trump reportedly confronted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a tense phone call over the US-brokered Gaza peace proposal.

As negotiators prepare for talks in Cairo, reports are emerging that US President Donald Trump reportedly confronted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a tense phone call over the US-brokered Gaza peace proposal. According to a report by Axios, Trump expressed frustration over Netanyahu’s cautious approach to the matter.

The dispute took place after Hamas announced that it is ‘ partially accepting’ Trump’s peace framework, agreeing to release all remaining hostages in exchange for an Israeli withdrawal. As per the report, the Israeli premier dismissed Hamas’ response, insisting that there is ’nothing to celebrate’.

“I don’t know why you’re always so f***ing negative. This is a win. Take it,” Trump reportedly said in the call during the heated exchange between the two leaders of the allied nations. Sources close to the matter told Axios that during the call, Trump asserted full control over the ceasefire process and highlighted the urgency of ending the Gaza conflict.

Trump huries a deal

Overall, the call reflected a sharp contrast in the approaches of the two leaders. While Trump saw progress after Hamas partially accepted the proposal, Netanyahu remained cautious about the intentions of the Palestinian militant group.

The Israeli premier was weighing the domestic political risks and the implications of a temporary ceasefire. Despite these arguments, both sides eventually reached an agreement. Netanyahu later publicly lauded Trump’s effort and emphasised areas of alignment, while the White House reiterated its commitment to pursuing peace and coordinating closely with Israel.

But despite the praises, after the phone call, Trump continued to pressure both Israel and Hamas. He warned Hamas against any tactics to delay the deal and made it clear that the hostages’ release was a non-negotiable condition for the deal. Meanwhile, Israel agreed to an updated map for the initial withdrawal of forces from parts of Gaza.
