Trigger Warning: This article includes references to sexual misconduct.Filmmaker Subhash Ghai has finally responded to sexual assault allegations made by actress Nehal Vadoliya. On Wednesday, Ghai issued a statement calling all accusations against him ‘false’. He slammed what he described as alleged ‘attempts to malign’ his image and warned of legal action, without naming Nehal directly.

Subhash Ghai responds to allegations made on him

“I want to make it clear that any individual attempting to malign my reputation or my companies and team members through false allegations will be held accountable under the law. Our legal team is prepared to take strict action against any such defamatory attempts,” Ghai said.

Subhash Ghai may take legal route

The filmmaker also emphasised the proper way to handle grievances. “If anyone has a genuine grievance, the correct and rightful course is to approach the police or the appropriate legal authorities. Resorting to social media to spread unverified claims for publicity is not only misleading to the public but also unlawful,” he added.

Nehal Vadoliya accused Subhash Ghai of misconduct

Nehal Vadoliya recently spoke about her experience during a visit to Ghai’s residence, where she accompanied her then-boyfriend, who worked as the filmmaker’s manager. What began as a casual evening sharing wine, she claimed, soon turned uncomfortable.

Subhash Ghai’s alleged compliments made her feel uneasy

In a chat with Galatta Plus, Neha Vadoliya revealed that Ghai began complimenting her appearance, calling her laugh “beautiful” and describing her as “very sexy.” Vadoliya said these remarks made her uneasy, especially in her boyfriend’s presence. The actress further claimed, “As soon as I came out, Subhash ji entered that room. There came a point when he came so close that I was completely shocked. His eyes were closed. When I moved aside, his lips touched my cheek. He kissed me and I told my boyfriend that he was about to kiss me on the lips.” Disclaimer: If you or someone you know is experiencing assault, or abuse, please seek immediate help.
